Fundraising
Keeping Christian education accessible for our families.
Fundraising is an important part of the DCS financial model. Through Pillars and other fundraising initiatives, our community helps meet the costs of operating the school while allowing DCS to maintain a reasonable and attainable family-rate tuition structure.
Service
Putting faith into action.
Service is woven into the culture of DCS and modelled after the servant heart of Jesus Christ. Parents, students and community members generously share their time, talents and abilities for the benefit of our school and one another, demonstrating what it means to serve God by serving others.
Why Pillars of Support?
For the 2026–27 school year, tuition provides about 75% of DCS’ annual operating budget and is directed toward the salaries and related costs of the dedicated Christian teachers and staff who serve our students each day.
But there is much more that goes into operating our school.
The Pillars of Support Campaign helps provide the resources needed for everything beyond our people—from getting students to school each morning to equipping classrooms and caring for our facilities.
Our 2026–27 Goal: $435,000
Our Pillars goal represents over 15% of DCS’s entire annual budget. This isn’t an extra or optional part of our budget—it is an essential part of how DCS operates.
Pillars helps fund important aspects such as:
- Student transportation
- Educational resources and classroom supplies
- Technology and computer resources
- Utilities
- Building maintenance and caretaking
- Insurance, communications and other operating costs
- Capital purchases and improvements
Your Support Makes DCS Possible
For nearly two decades, parents, grandparents, alumni, churches, businesses and friends of DCS have generously come alongside our school through Pillars of Support.
That generosity allows us to do something important: keep tuition focused on our teachers and staff while providing the resources and environment they need to deliver excellent Christ-centred education.
When you give to Pillars, your gift becomes part of the everyday life of DCS. It’s there when a student gets on the bus. It’s in the resources a teacher uses in the classroom. It’s in the technology that supports learning and the building our students walk into each morning.
Every gift—large or small—helps us reach our $435,000 goal and strengthens DCS for today’s students and the generations that will follow.
